The Man Who Fell to Earth 50th Anniversary

David Bowie stars as a stranded alien (no, not much of a stretch) in Nicolas Roeg’s enigmatic sci-fi cult classic.

Roeg’s unclassifiable film turns 50 this year and we celebrate with a special 4K screening of this sci-fi cult classic.

David Bowie plays the role of Jerome Newton, an alien coping with unfamiliar Earth culture. Jerome’s knowledge of advanced technology is put to good use creating new inventions, and he even falls in love. But when the time comes to depart the planet, his plans are threatened.

Bowie, in his acting debut, completely embodies the title role, while Candy Clark, Buck Henry, and Rip Torn turn in pitch-perfect supporting performances. Director Roeg pushes the boundaries of sci-fi into art form. Beautiful, bleak and a must for Bowie-fans.
