A love letter to nature created on Super 8 film created by collaborators across the world.
Ed Sayers threw out a (seemingly) simple brief. To film nature on old-school Super 8 cameras. The result is an eye-popping, visceral, poetic and very personal mediation on the wild world.
Enjoy shots of all manner of flora and fauna, ranging from coral reefs to high deserts, close-up of the tiniest bugs to wide shots of whales. Super 8 reels can only capture a few minutes’ worth of film, and so this must have been a fiendishly complex puzzle in the editing room; a tribute to the tenacity of Sayers.
“Uplifting… life-affirming… organic… It feels like it’s got a physical soul to it. I want people to see it in cinemas, it is a theatrical experience.” Mark Kermode
