Microbudget Film Workshop

Join director Matt Harlock (American: The Bill Hicks Story) for a practical, micro-budget filmmaking workshop, followed by a screening of his darkly comic new thriller-horror Blockhead (ticketed separately).

Matt will take you behind the scenes of how Blockhead (FrightFest, Encounters) was made in just 14 days - raising the money, casting, through scheduling and shooting, to festivals and creating its theatrical run - along with all the tips, tricks and lessons the crew learned along the way. Previously presented at Ravensbourne and London College of Communication, Matt has also given masterclasses at SXSW, BAFTA and Film London.

“Dynamic and highly informative, the students were inspired.” Paul Wilkins, Ravensbourne

"Matt's extensive industry knowledge and expertise, plus his generosity and infectious enthusiasm for his subject are really inspiring." Kate Iles, London College of Communication
