Starting on 23 November (now postponed from the previously advertised 26 October, sorry!), our new monthly film club for 8 - 14 year olds brings back the joy of Saturday cinema for children with the chance for them to discover more about films and filmmaking.
Alongside each film screening, kids will learn about different film techniques with special workshops covering: creating effects, make up, props, and more! All staff are DBS checked and follow our clear safeguarding policy and procedures.
Drop off your child from 9.50am until 12.30pm for the workshop and film screening.
(NB some future Kids Film Clubs will start at 2pm and run until 4.30pm)
Saturday Kids Film Club - Art of Action Special
Saturday 23 November, 10am - 12.30pm
For our Art of Action special, we are delighted to look at Kung Fu Stunt Fighting - where the stunts are carefully staged to make sure that no animals or children are harmed in the making of any movie! The session is a chance to look behind the scenes of cartoon-style action in today's films and learn more about how the actors and stunt coordinators created these scenes without hurting anyone!
For the workshop we are delighted to partner with 1066 Wing Chun, to explore the importance of self-defence, and discuss the safety and skill in making film stunts safe!
