The Muppet Christmas Carol (U)
A wholesome, emotional, joyfully magic take on the classic tale, with frogs, pigs and great songs! And Michael Caine’s greatest role.
Why do we love The Muppet Christmas Carol so much?
Perhaps Michael Caine’s performance; straight as a die, "like I'm working with the Royal Shakespeare Company,”. Or maybe it’s the wholesomeness. Kermit as a hard-working Bob Cratchit, the bickering rat bookkeepers, Gonzo as Charles Dickins, using the original prose as his script.
Or the songs; Paul Williams’ warm, joyful bangers that bring a sprinkling of magic to the story. There’s so much on screen; every time we watch it, it gets better. Come, join us and find your festiveness!
