The stunt man becomes the hero - and the director! Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt in this dazzling action comedy romance, a taster of our upcoming Autumn 'Thrills and Spills' collection of screenings that will celebrate the 'Art of Action' spectacle!
Directed by David Leitch, whose film career began as a stuntman for Brad Pitt, before directing such films as John Wick, Atomic Blonde and Bullet Train, The Fall Guy is his love letter to the stunt community, a tribute to the dangerous work they do for very little recognition.
Loosely based on the '80s TV series that starred Lee Majors in the lead role, this story follows Colt Seavers (Ryan Gosling), a stunt double for an action superstar Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). After a serious incident halts his career, he is persuaded back into showbusiness when the woman he loves, Jody (Emily Blunt), embarks on her directorial debut - but somehow he finds himself at the centre of a mysterious conspiracy...
Hilariously funny, with off-the-charts chemistry and, of course, plenty of jaw-dropping stunts. They even earned themselves a Guiness World Record for most cannon rolls in a car: 8.5.
This is the definition of a popcorn movie, pure fun!
