NEW DATE ADDED DUE TO HIGH DEMAND!

Please note, the newly added encore screening on Friday 7 March screening will include a Q&A with director Rob Curry, to offer an insight into the making of the film and behind the scenes story of these Hastings music legends.

We are thrilled to host the UK premiere of Little Eden: The Story of The Bevis Frond, the new documentary from the makers of The Ballad of Shirley Collins film!

This is the extraordinary story of independent music pioneers The Bevis Frond, told over the course of a single semi-fictional day in the life of songwriter Nick Saloman, and how he achieved his goal of never having to get a regular job.

The Bevis Frond's music has been covered by a host of musicians including The Lemonheads, Teenage Fanclub, Elliott Smith and Juliana Hatfield, while iconic bands like Pavement and Dinosaur Jr also acknowledge their influence.

"One of the few guitarists around who can make a guitar solo an article of faith" - **** Uncut

"One of Britain's most gifted torchbearers for psychedelia" - Mojo

Q&A with director Rob Curry

We are delighted to welcome director Rob Curry from Fifth Column films after the screening for a Q&A plus a selection of rarities from directors Rob Curry and Tim Plester's archive, with Hastings connections aplenty. These include a teaser for a film they're developing about duplicitous Hastings native Grey Owl, and an unseen, deleted scene from their film about the iconic local folk singer Shirley Collins that was filmed here at the Electric Palace!

Please note, this newly added Friday 7 March screening includes a Q&A after the feature film.
