Screening as part of this year's Coastal Currents event in Hastings, filmmaker Nichola Bruce takes us on a journey into the life of Lancashire artist, performer, painter, poet and Vicar's daughter Liz Finch.
From her life-changing accident and rural solitude, to the mad social whirl of '80s London anarchic performances and now the present day, The Romance of Bricks is an intriguing and fascinating walk through Finch's work. The film moves darkly along walls, up corridors and stairs, to where the ordinary is re-possessed by her strange and humorous vision.
Includes Q&A with Nichola Bruce and Liz Finch.
