The Mighty Boosh's Julian Barratt and co-writer Simon Farnaby’s joyously off-the-wall comedy creation sees a washed up actor reprising his 80s TV role (as a sleuth with a robotic truth-telling eye, naturally).
Richard Thorncroft (Barratt), is an actor whose career peaked with hit 1980s Isle of Man based detective show Mindhorn. Fast forward 25 years and Thorncroft is an increasingly desperate, has-been. But when a Manx criminal demands Mindhorn’s presence, Thorncroft returns to the scene of his greatest triumphs for one last chance to reignite his glory days.
