The life and work of Michelangelo, one of the most important artists of the Italian High Renaissance, are brought to life in this documentary through an exhibition in the National Gallery that also explore his relationship with da Vinci.
Michelangelo is unanimously considered to be the greatest of all of the Renaissance artists. An enigmatic man and a giant artistic force - he must have been a literal workaholic judging by the incredible output of his paintings and sculptures.
This "Love & Death" art-tour documentary takes the viewer on a 90-minute excursion through the chapels and museums of both Florence and Rome, and, then, it's onto the Vatican to closely explore, in vivid detail, the brilliant artistic mastery of Michelangelo inside the Sistine Chapel.
Thursday morning screenings will include subtitles wherever possible.
Thursday morning screenings also include a free hot drink with your ticket (all Thursday morning tickets are concession rate or under 21s rate).
