It sold out speedily last time we put this on in 2022, so grab your tickets pronto for this extra special screening of Jubilee, a 1978 British cult film directed by Derek Jarman. Queen Elizabeth I travels 400 years into the future to witness the appalling revelation of a dystopian London overrun by corruption and a vicious gang of punk guerrilla girls led by the new Monarch of Punk. Numerous punk icons appear in the film including Adam Ant, Toyah, Jordan (a Malcolm McLaren protégé), Gene October and Jayne County. It features performances by Jayne County and Adam and the Ants and there are also cameo appearances by the Slits and Siouxsie and the Banshees. The film was also scored by Brian Eno!

This Summer Music Season screening will again be accompanied by a live performance from the Hastings Punk Choir before the screening.

And when we showed Jubilee back in 2017 we were honoured to be joined for a Q&A with the late Jordan (aka Pamela Rooke) hosted by Ted Polhemus. Were you there?
