A festival soirée showcasing five new films introduced personally by the directors, plus a selection of cutting edge shorts from Hastings’ deep pool of film making talent.
- Nichola Bruce: ‘Experiments with a Danse Macabre’ with dancer Patricia Langan.
- Andrew Kötting: ‘Their Rancid Words Stagnate our Ponds’ - Performance artist Xavier Tchili meanders in the Atacama Desert in search of meaning and understanding.
- Mark French with Elaine Edwards: ‘No Fixed Edge’ with a live soundtrack featuring curiously human machines, operating within marginal landscapes but that are central to our existence. Elaine Edwards is on saxophone and Jenny Benwell on violin.
- Nick Pilton: ‘Imagined Lives’ – A short audio-visual musing on the lives we could have led.
- Rebecca E Marshall: ‘This That Happens’ – 6 mothers share 2 minutes of their time with their baby.
