‘First Heard’ is a monthly play reading event featuring new works by local playwrights, performed by professional actors. At the end of every play there is an honest Q&A with the writer and all money raised from ticket sales goes towards the actors’ time.
The Kiss - A dark comedy by Brendan Somers
Two actors arrive in a hotel room to practice a kiss that isn’t working in rehearsal. From this simple premise develops a complex psycho-drama in which both their sanity and lives are threatened. An exploration of the social meaning of drama and the role of the audience as part voyeur, part theatrical device.
