A 23-year-old with extreme self-esteem issues, Princess Saira (Shabana Azeez) has just been dumped by her daredevil girlfriend Kiki (Bernie Van Tiel) for being too needy. Oh no!
Her sulking takes a turn when Kiki calls with a cry for help: She’s been kidnapped by a ghastly misogynist group known as the Straight While Maliens – forgotten incels of the future.

Lesbian Space Princess trails Saira’s odyssey through the galaxies (travelling aboard the sentient ‘Problematic Ship’) to save her girl, from life-threatening missions to meeting gay pop idols.
The result is a poppy, laugh-out-loud crowd-pleaser, an animated queer comedy slash musical that won the Teddy Award at this year’s Berlin Film Festival.
