Glenn Veness' Christmas Films (12A)
Screen, Saturday 5 Dec 2026, 19:30
- ends at 20:36
Hastings Own legend screens footage of Old Town and St Leonards events, from pram races to tugs of war! Spot your family!
Glenn Veness has been filming Hastings for over forty years with all its eccentric and wonderful events in and around the Old Town and St Leonards – pram races, bike races, tug of war and beach concerts; we love a party, don't we?
Glenn films people in a special way; he is up close in the heart of the action as these are the people and places that he knows and loves. He edits his film using two VHS players tape to tape, because that’s the way he knows how to do it.
Glenn introduces this special Christmas screening and will be with us, yelling out the names of all the people in the films from the back as he can't resist!
There are faces of our community from across the years, babies who have grown into adults, people we have loved and lost and new generations born into the town. A really moving experience.
Join us for this special Christmas film party that also marks Glenn's son's birthday!
