Get ready for Summer Music Season 2015
Summer Music Season is back! Featuring Manic Street Preachers, Kurt Cobain, Tracey Thorn, Wilko Johnson and English National Opera.
For a third, glorious year acclaimed music journalist, comedy writer, and now novelist of The Mule, David Quantick (pictured, left) gallantly curates our season of recently released music-themed movies.
This year the line up includes No Manifesto (14 August), a film about international rock stars the Manic Street Preachers (pictured, right). Plus, catch Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck (28 August), a profile of the grunge music star.
Carol Morley's 60s drama The Falling (10 & 12 September) includes an atmospheric soundtrack by Tracey Thorn from Everything But The Girl. The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson follows on 20 September, following his appearance at the local Rye Jazz & Blues Festival.
For some truly high-brow culture, see Terry Gilliam's acclaimed Benvenuto Cellini (26 September). Watch this space for imminent confirmation of exciting live guest appearances alongside the films...
