Volunteer wins Lifetime Achievement Award in film

One of the Electric Palace's wonderful volunteers, Paul Sargent, has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from a leading film archive association.

He led the commercial access team of the Imperial War Museum Film Archive and also served on the FOCAL International Executive for many years and initiated several significant training programmes.

Paul accepted the award at the 10th annual FOCAL International Awards earlier this year at The Lancaster London Hotel, alongside other prominent producers, filmmakers and creative professionals who have used library footage in a documentary, feature film or any other form of production.

The Federation of Commercial Audiovisual Libraries International is a professional not-for-profit trade association formed in 1985 and is fully established as one of the leading voices in the industry.
