Film Conference Day One - The New Digital Content Horizon
Morning: The Screen South Network
filmSouth opens with a morning session introducing Screen South's new framework for supporting and developing film enterprise and production in the region, explaining how today's film-maker can successfully receive support from the agency and its network of Community & Industry development partners throughout the south-east.

Afternoon - A Developing Creative Economy
The afternoon session will focus on the Creative Economy and the emerging opportunities for digital content producers to find support and collaborative partners in the region. Speakers include Gena Fegan, Chief Executive of the South East Media Network (SEMN) and former CEO of Screen South.
6:30pm Baird Centre & Projection Space Exhibition Launch
All conference delegates are invited to attend a special evening event to launch the Projection Space exhibition at the Arts Forum and the official opening of the new Baird Film & TV Centre by Hastings Mayor Maureen Charlesworth, adjacent to the Gallery. The Baird Centre will be the first dedicated resource centre for film and tv professionals in the region, offering equipment hire, two digital editing suites, a library of training manuals, books and magazines and lounge-style screening facilities for showreel presentations.

Morning - The Production Conundrum
Day two's morning session focuses on techniques essential to the production process, with practical sessions dealing with aspects of production and distribution. Speakers include Michelle D'Acosta, producer of a string of Nick Broomfield documentaries, and Andrew Woodyatt, head of UK marketing at leading independent film studio, Lionsgate.
